Life Balance Check

It is easy to know how to balance life, but much more difficult to acheive life balance. Life demands get in the way or we over-commit because we want to say yes to everything. I encourage you to write out your perfect day and week as if there were no barriers. Mine would go something like this:
Perfect day
Morning- Wake up at 5am, exercise, focus on personal growth for 20 minutes, morning prayer
Afternoon- Clean while listening to an audiobook or music, yard work, appointments, errands
Evening- Make dinner, spend time with my family and dogs
Perfect week:
Visit family or a friend 1 or 2 days even if only for a few hours
Go out with friends at least once every 2 weeks
Nature walk with my big dog 1 day per week
Write a 1 blog post and 1 Instagram post
Church 1 time every two weeks (Sorry if you don’t agree. I am okay with that.)
Update budget 2 times per week
Once you have your perfect day and week written out, pick one or two things that you can make happen. These things will make your life fuller because they are important to you. Some days you may not want to do the things you have in this list, but I bet for each time you acheive one of the things, you will feel like a champion. This is a natural reward and causes positive re-inforcement. If you need another reward then decide for example, “If I do a nature walk with my dog once per week for 4 weeks, then I will buy myself a new phone case.” The reward can also be something like time for a hobby, a massage or time with friends.
My goal is to have a perfect morning on all my days off from work. Normally I exercise 2-3 times per week for about 30-45 min. Right now I can do 20-30 minutes per day until the demands of my life lighten. If I do this one thing, then I should be able to exercise 4 days per week. Wish me luck. I will do the same for you.
